Kevin Gaskell’s automotive career began with Porsche GB where he was appointed UK Managing Director at the age of 32. Having refocused the business and turned Porsche into the UK’s most profitable importer, Kevin took the role of Managing Director BMW (GB) Ltd where he led the business to four years of record growth, improving sales by 40% and profitability by 250%.
In 2000, he left BMW to build the European presence of CarsDirect.com. When the company's shareholders strategically retrenched to the USA, he became a founding member of the team which created epyx Limited which became the UK’s leading e-commerce solution for the vehicle fleet sector. He was a board member from 2001 until 2009 when he sold his equity to the management team.
Additionally from 2001 to 2007 he was Group Chief Executive of EurotaxGlass’s AG, Switzerland. With his team he converted a set of print based companies in 31 countries into the global leader in the provision of online data, systems and software to the automotive sector. In 2007 he led an MBO before moving across to the role of Non Executive President of the group. He stepped down from this position in 2010 to devote more time to his private equity business interests.
