Brent Dewar joins Courland International after nearly three decades as a senior automotive executive, where he led brand management, marketing and sales for one of the most recognized brands in the world, Chevrolet. Included among Dewar’s responsibilities was the launch of Chevrolet’s pioneering electric vehicle, the Chevrolet Volt.

Prior to joining Courland, Dewar was Senior Advisor at GreenOrder, a leading environmental consulting firm, helping global enterprises advance pragmatic solutions for a more sustainable future. In addition to leading the Transportation sector for GreenOrder, Dewar also executed a successful interim management and executive search engagement for an international utility company.

Before moving back to the United States to lead Global Chevrolet, Dewar was Senior Vice President sales, marketing and aftersales for GM Europe. Dewar also served as a member of the European Strategy Board and the Saab Automotive Board.

Dewar brings a wealth of auto sector, senior executive and board experience to his new assignment as Managing Partner – Americas, having resided and worked in Brazil, Canada and the United States. Dewar currently serves on the Advisory Board of a privately held retail automotive dealer group.

A native of Vancouver, Canada, Dewar received his bachelor of commerce degree (BCOMM) in 1978 from the University of British Columbia, with a major in transportation. In 1986, Dewar received his master of business administration (MBA) degree from York University, Toronto.
