Mitch has been working with Courland Automotive Practice, as the Managing Partner for Japan, since 2004.

He brings a wealth of search experience to the role, developed whilst building up and developing a number of search businesses in Japan. He has, for example, worked for 8 years as Managing Director / Chairman for one of the world's top 5 executive search organizations, where achievements included establishing and then leading their Japanese operations. Subsequently, he worked as a Partner at a second top 5 search organization. Testament to his ability to successfully source senior level executives, Mitch is now profiled in the Global 200 Guide to the Top Recruiters in the World (as authored by Nancy Garrison-Jenn).

Importantly, in addition to his search experience, Mitch has also had significant involvement with the automotive industry throughout his entire career. He has, for example, spent several years managing the Japanese automotive contracts for one of the largest American banks.

Above and beyond all of his professional achievements, however, Mitch is, first and foremost, a family man. He is happily married with loving children.
