Courland re-enters the Greater China Market

Chicago, USA (January 6, 2012) – Courland International is pleased to announce that it has re-established its presence in China with a Joint Venture which gives it a renewed presence in Shanghai.

“Our clients considered it essential for Courland to have an operating base in China to service their increasing senior management needs and so we are delighted that our Shanghai office is now fully operational from 3rd January 2012” said Global Managing Partner, Martin Bohling.

Courland International's operations and client activities in the Greater China Region, Hong Kong and Taiwan will be headed up by Daniel KC Liu, Managing Partner. Daniel has 15 years consulting and executive search experience in the automotive sector as well as a variety of other industries.

Daniel is a Science graduate with an MBA qualification from the United States. He is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of HR Management.  Prior to his consultancy career, Daniel had an eighteen-year career with multi-national companies working in senior regional human resources management roles in Engineering, Technology, Dealer-Import Vehicle-Distribution. He was the Executive HR Director of an international publicly quoted dealer group, headquartered in Hong Kong and the Representative Director for the Group in the PRC. He was subsequently promoted to HR Director Asia Pacific and the Middle East, a position that he held for ten years.

Courland has also changed its name from Courland Automotive Practice to Courland International effective January 1, 2012 in response to the firm’s growing global footprint.
