Our consulting services are designed to help provide additional levels of support to help our clients manage change.

 

We understand that every client is different and that each client often has very specific requirements. We dedicate as much time as is needed to listening to individual needs before making any suggestions about human capital based solutions.

Our range of services covers the entire employee lifecycle. We are able to provide guidance on the recruitment process, from advice regarding sourcing methodologies to guidance and delivery of assessment techniques. We are also able to provide support to executives throughout their careers in the form of management support, access to additional external senior level personnel (mentoring solutions as appropriate), and via the provision of outplacement services that support executives in their transition to new roles at the end of their time with an individual company.

We have extensive experience supporting management teams via:

  • Management audit – where we take an active role in helping improve the performance of an individual or group of managers.
    Services include one on one coaching, creation of personal development plans, new hire aftercare plans.
  • Structural audit – where we can help measure, analyse and improve the management structure of an organization.
    Services include organizational analysis, competitor benchmarking and analysis of remuneration and benefits.

Our consulting services are often used in conjunction with our executive search services. For example, our outplacement services will often feed directly into (and take advantage of) our extensive network of automotive executives. At all times we strive to ensure that our advice and support is practical and going to add value to your business.

Courland has designed a customized tool to evaluate existing management capabilities and identify areas for improvement.

The Courland Auditing Tool (CAT) delivers an IT-supported management report which combines a globally recognised personality assessment tool with elements from professional executive search methodology.

Having defined a set of prioritized company and personal values with our client for the executive in question, we use a tool known as the "Golden Profiler of Personality" to identify additional indicators about a manager's behaviour and decision-making style when acting under stress. The Courland consultant discusses and validates these findings with the executive under review in a personal meeting, to deliver an analysis based on three different perspectives. "The best of three worlds" is summarized and visualized in a detailed management report.

CAT can be used as an additional decision making tool in a number of business situations, for example:

  • To optimise existing management development programs, introduce programs after a new hire or an internal promotion to ensure a more smooth integration into a new management environment, and/or as decision base for executive coaching and mentoring programs.
  • To identify internal talents for specific and/or changing manager needs by mapping, benchmarking and mirroring existing talents against the external environment.

  • Organisational Analysis - A thorough review of the strategy, structure, size, shared values, skills, systems and succession planning of an organization, in order to help improve overall effectiveness.
  • Competitor Benchmarking - Frequently conducted alongside Organizational Analysis, this provides an external comparison of key performance indicators against a model group drawn from an agreed set of competitors.
  • Remuneration & Benefits - Development of competitive remuneration packages through the use of salary surveys and flexible benefits reviews.
